So did i they started discusding my personal buisness with them with my fruends n family...they even told my kids i was a looser when they answered the phone. At the time i was at home with a broken ankel..and i never gotten behind until i broke my ankel

Incredible - do not rent from them

You're better off taking what they were going to charge you and just put it away. I got quite a few things from them, but what really blew my mind was an HP computer I got for my son. They blow smoke with their "it's ONLY so much a week." Fancy that, nickels and dimes later, when it seems like the payments go on and on, I looked at the details and made a comparison. The EXACT HP I got for my son at Kohls is $649. What did they charge me? Brace yourself, $2,384.00. That's, what, almost 400%? So, if it's 400% for just the computer, can you imagine what I'm paying for the other furniture? I've already paid $5,000 to them thus far so it's too late to back out now, but I want to take it upon myself to see what we consumers can do to have this sort of practice strictly regulated. No business should be legally allowed to charge over 28% interest.

Rude Condescending Manager at Homesmart

I would NEVER EVER do business from Homesmart. My nephew rented some furniture from Homesmart Pensacola. His job didnt start until two weeks after renting the furniture for two weeks. He and his girlfriend got behind on one payment. He called the day it was due, on a Friday, and made arrangements to pay the next Friday, which that person told him was fine. A manager by the name of Steve proceeds to call his phone the following Wednesday. My nephew was not available and this Steve character was rude and condescending. She explained to him that my nephew made arrangements the previous Friday and he told her in a loud arrogant tone NO! That is Unacceptable. Today is the day that my nephew made arrangements to pay for the furniture. The day is not over with as of yet. This Steve character calls my nephew's girlfriends mom who lives in another state and tell her that he was going to call the police and have both of them charged with a "felony." This is illegal and not tolerated under the Fair Debt Collections Act. A collection agency can be sued. He also told my nephew that he "better have the payment in before the end of closing." My nephew is not the confrontational type. He called his mom and told her what happened. Both of us called this rude power-tripping tart on the phone and told him to come and get the furniture tomorrow. We explained that there is a way to speak to people, respectfully, even if you are collecting. He was acting all "nice" because we had already called and another guy gave him a heads-up that someone was, which was us, probably was going to call and be fiery. All I can say is if Homesmart wants to stay in business, they need to give Steve some lessons in CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES. You don't get to talk to people anyway and expect respect in return. He is rude condescending, rude, arrogant, and a pure A@!hole. The messed up part is....he act's as if the furniture is his. Reminder: STEVE IS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE STORE!!!!! You will not treat us like that. Stay away from Homesmart in Pensacola Store #CH102 if you know what is good for you.

Homesmart Work Experience Review from Lebanon, Tennessee

I worked for Homedumb for nearly a year,and it was a joke! I asked for two days off in a row and the GM told me that I could not because the Co. did not like it. I was written up because I was driving the van to a major delivery and the roads were snow covered and the wiper on the driver side was broken and I could not see well.I called HR and told thrm of my safty concerns and they told me that this would be kept private. Then a few minutes later the SE manager called.The next day I was written up two times for BS reasons!! The GM hired a female SM and she had every other weekend off and never had to work OT or had to lift nothing!! The GM had written up several people for talking on the phone but this SM was never confronted about this!! The GM at the Lebanon Homedumb has yet to send me my last check that I earned before I quit,so I had to go to the labor board just to get my pay!! This store and mangement are a joke and should be looked into for coruption!!!!!!!!!! Never work for this pathetic company!!!!!!!!!!

Homesmart - Bed Review

I am making payments for a bed.I am 6 months into this.I pay weekly so if i am late i get phone calls right away asking for payment.I have been late at times I admit.So funny thing is i have paid 600.00 for a 1200.00 bed.They now are telling me they want it back because I am late on a payment.I want to pay them but the General manager is telling me to my face he will not take my money but instead wants the bed back.I find this absurd you dont want my money but you want a used bed "horrible".If anything please make sure consumers that you are not getting a used bed in new plastic.Not being willing to work with your customers is not a plan for sucess.I feel bad for anyone who has to go through this.Not working with people is a recipe for a " going out of business sale" .On 10-9-15 I will attempt to make payment if they refuse to take my payment they will go and get that used bed with the police.Way to go homesmart your on your way to becoming a flea market.I strongly suggest take your money elsewhere.Homesmart is a setup for failure when it comes to the consumer.

They start harassing us for our payment at the beginning of the day its due. I told them that we will pay Friday and they were at our house that same Friday.

Didn't even give us time to get off work and make it to the store. I will never, ever deal with home smart again!

My payment n ovvercharging

First I put 120on my card and they tk out 80.68 now they saying I'm behind three payments n I'm not all I knw I been psying on time and this store is the reasonvwhy they r losing customers they call my phone not marking appt and now saying they can only take out wat it was for and now saying my account is closed I knw I'm not behind on my payments corporate needs to go over and investigate them cause things aren't being ran right at all the manager said I'm behind three payments n I'm not I dnt knw wats going on but they ned new management

DON'T DO IT!!!!

Don't rent from these people. They charge you double the price and I have the documentation and comparison to prove it. A $649 computer cost $2300. TWENTY THREE HUNDRED FREAKING DOLLARS!! They snow you by telling you "oh, its ONLY $20 a week FOR THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL BORN LIFE. Now I see why people fly planes into buildings. This is highway robbery. Seriously, there should be laws against being able to charge this amount of money. I understand maybe a couple hundred over the price, but I suppose they have to dress their little trolls up in those rediculous uniforms.

Called to check on daughters laptop, they were sending off to fix... Over a month ago (2nd time). The regional manager answers phone quickly in almost a singing voice and was rude stated he would have "so and so" call tomorrow. I said ok and thank you, he flat hung up! RUDE! I called back and asked for Melanie, the regional manager as he has said about 10 times... No longer works for our company. I said well this has been the second time you have been rude to me. It must be his usual, and I told him they lost a great store manager! She was always smiling and happy, which makes happy customers. This may not go anywhere... But he should go through a customer satisfaction class, especially when the customer was truly right.

I have been dealing with the noth chrleston, sc store and i have nothing but good reviews for them. I love the guys and gals there. They have always been courteous and respectful to me. They work with me when i have problems paying but its rare. Im on auto pay and i pay almost double my pymt every week just for when i have a bad week, i can skip a pmt and im not behind. Ive already paid off s kitchen table set, living room set, & kids bunkbeds. Im working on a new washer & dryer set now and am abt half way done paying on them. Now abt to get another living room set (kids and dogs ruined this one) and a new bedroom set for hubs and i. Great job guys!

I have bought a kitchen table set paid odd in December. plus I bought a couch love seat and bedroom set.I make payments every week on Saturday I have receipts to prove this. Home smart calls me once a week to say I didn't make payments. Which I can prove is a lie. The asst Manger asked me out and I refused the calls have been coming in each week,Saying I didn't make payments. I brought payments slips they print out for the month of January he said I owed 6.00 . AFTER ALL THIS HARASSMENT FOR 6.00.I SAID COME GET IT. I'LL SEE YOU N COURT, FOR HARASSMENT I THEN I SPOKE TO MY MOTHER IN MAINE. They called my mother in Maine as well saying I was not making payments.I have receipts to prove them wrong. sexual harassment to me as customer.I noticed lots of returned furniture at there store.Is how they make money. I would not GIVE GOOD REVIEWS of this company to any one. my furniture was damaged and I did not complain.IF YOU WANT RECEIPTS I HAVE THEM. THIS NEEDS TO STOP NOW.

Very UNHAPPY customer...

Hello, I have rented a bed and TV from your store located at 1727 E. Busch Blvd in Tampa, Fl. I called today to return the bed because I can no longer afford the both, bed and TV. The store manager was very rude and mean when conducting business with me pertaining to my return. I do not appreciate the way he handled my concerns and he refused to allow me to keep renting the TV without the bed even though they are on two separate contracts. He is not honest because he informed me that you all will not rent used beds but yet and still my lease agreement clearly states USED on the contract. I do not trust your company anymore and do not appreciate fraudulent business associates.
